Enola Gay Exhibit [1995]
In April of 1995, I visited the National Air and Space Museum in Washingotn, D.C. A partially restored Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, was on exhibit. There was a great deal of contoversary about this exhibit. You can explore more on that topic at the Alsos Digital Library for Nuclear Issues.
Enola Gay's Tail Fin
Only portions of the plane could be shown due to its size. Here is the tail fin.
